Sacramento Kings already have its next opponent set. Here’s who they will play and where

The Sacramento Kings will travel to New Orleans after winning 118 to 94 against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans in a thriller earlier in the day, meaning the Kings will play the Pelicans Friday night in the next round of the play-in tournament. Friday night’s game will determine who secures the No. 8 and final seed of the Western Conference. The winner goes on to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in a seven game series.

Sacramento went 0-5 against the Pelicans this season, with several blowout losses, according to Statmuse. But New Orleans star Zion Williamson exited the Lakers game with a few minutes remaining in what was described as left leg soreness. Williamson had scored 40 points prior to his injury.

Pelicans head coach Willie Green, in his post-game press conference, said Williamson will receive imaging on his leg on Wednesday.

“We’ll see what happens tomorrow after we get the results,” Green said.
